Quad-Plex All-In-One Assay Kit for SARS-CoV-2 & N501Y (VoC) Detection

Our CE-labelled dual target Sars-CoV-2 qPCR assay is targeting two highly conserved sites in the genome of SARS-CoV-2. The assay was now improved to simultaneously detect the N501Y mutation.

Simultaneous SARS-CoV-2 & VoC-PCR for Variants of Concern B.1.1.7, B.1.351 and P1

Besides two SARS-CoV-2 specific genes (dual target) our assay simultaneously detects the presence of the N501Y mutation, present in the strains B.1.1.7 (“UK-Variant”; B.1.351 (“South-African Variant”) and B.1.1.28 (“Brazilian Variant” also known as P1). In addition, our assay includes RNaseP as internal control. The assay can be performed on common qPCR instruments with detection channels of FAM, Joe, Cy5, and ROX.

Only one qPCR reaction is needed for fastest results.

The assay is for research use only at the moment. CE-IVD is in progress.

The left picture above shows the qPCR results of a wt SARS-CoV-2 sample. The two SARS-CoV-2 specific targets and the internal control (RP) are amplified but no signal appears for the N501Y specific assay. The right picture shows the results of our Quad-Plex qPCR assay from a sample with the N501Y mutation. An additional signal specific for N501Y appears.
